Good News: NCOPST Solicits Funds For Non Professional Teachers To Obtain Degree Certificate And To Remain In The Teaching Profession

In the struggle for non professional teachers to secure funds to further education to obtain degree certificate in order to acquire teacher license to teach and remain in the profession, the Executive body of the National Council of Private School Teachers (NCOPST) on Wednesday, 7th December 2022 visited Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited, Achimota – Accra to solicit for financial support.

The Executive body of the Council presented a proposal letter to the Corporate Relations Team after their discussion about the initiative.

In an interview with NCOPST Executive Director, Mr Ackon James explained that many Private Schools cannot afford to pay good salaries that will enable their teachers save and get money to further education hence the initiative.

He said, according to NCOPST Finance Department, they have projected to support 1,233 non professional teachers to enroll into Degree Programme in the year 2023. According to the Director, this initiative will take the Council 6 years to support 6,233 Non Professional Teachers Education.

In view of our projections for six years, humbly call on other Corporate Entities, Churches, Philanthropists, Well to do organisations to support our initiative.

The Executive body advices all private school teachers who want to be part of the Non Professional Teachers to be supported in the year 2023 to fill the Financial Support Form and also register to be a member on the council’s website using ncopst.org

There will be shortlist of beneficiaries so hurry to open the site (ncopst.org), register as member and fill the financial support form.
