The Ghana Education Service GES in August 8, 2022 opened the transfer/release window for the 2022/2023 academic year.
The management of GES issued guidelines and processes to all the three different kinds of GES reposting, namely the Inter Regional, Intra District and Inter District reposting.
Inter District Reposting
Applicants are therefore advised to contact their District/Municipal Directors or HRs for clarification and collection of their release letters at the regional education offices.
However, a teacher seeking Inter District reposting should note that he or she can only be released by the current District after the Regional Director has given the final approval.
Inter Regional Reposting
Management of GES has begun issuing approval letters to all successful applicants in their various regions.
For Inter-Regional transfer, the District or Municipal Education office will issue an approval letter for the applicant to submit to the regional office for it to be endorsed and later forward it to the Headquarters for the final endorsement by the Director General.
This means that the regional Director will send all approved documents to Accra for
Director-General to approve before the Regional Director issues a release letter to the individual.
