JUST IN: How To Check Your 2021 School Placement & Access Self-placement Module

The Computerized School Seletion and Placement System (CSsPs) into Senior High Sehools (SHS)/Senior High Technical Schools (SHTS) and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Institutes has finally been activated by the Ministry of Education.

Candidates can now access their school of placement by following the procedures below.

To access the placement platform, candidates are to follow the steps below:

1. Obtain a placement pin code from an approved verndor.

2. After obtaining a pin code, log onto the site www.cssps.gov.gh

3. Enter the ten-digit index number and add 21 as year of completion. Eg 123456759021

4. Enter the pin code details (serial number and pin)

5. Click on submit and wait for placement to be displayed

6. Print the form if you have been placed and visit the school to begin admission process

7. System will redirect you for self placement, if not placed

How to buy pin code online

  1. Go to pincodesonline.com
  2. On the page, key in your MoMo number
  3. Select the quantity of checkers you want to buy and click Buy
  4. On the next page you will be given a 5 digit token which you may use later to retrieve your code. Click after you have noted the token
  5. Check your MoMo phone for a prompt and approve payment. Wait for a message approving a successfull payment.
  6. Get back to the page and click OK on the web page and get your pin code
  7. In the event that the page closes before you can copy your codes, get to the home page and click on the link “click here to retrieve code”. key in your phone number and the token you were given at the begining to retrieve your code(s)
  8. NB: Do not close the page until you have copied or printed your pin code

SELF PLACEMENT MODULE

If a candidate is not matched with any of their choices from the automatic placement system, they will be redirected to the sel-placement portal. A qualified Candidate is then requiresd to select a school by providing the under-listed intormation:

1. Region

2. Residential preference

3. School

4. Programme of Choice.

Note: 1. Schools selected on self-placement portal can be changed as many times as the candidate wishes until they ENROLL in a school.

2. All schools with vacancies have been uploaded on the portal, to enable students select from during self-placement.

The Public is assured of the Ministry’s commitment to ensure all qualified Candidates ane placed in SHS/SHTS/TVET Institutions.

According to GES, out of the total number of 571,892registered candidates, 555,353 candidates qualified to be placed. A total of 367,811 candidates have automatically been placed in one of their choices.

This means a total of 187,542 of qualified candidates will have to do SELF- PLACEMENT to select from available schools since they could not be matched with any of their choices.
