GOOD NEWS: Newly Trained Private CoE Teachers To Be Recruited As Clearance Is Being Sought – Education Minister

Newly trained teachers from the various private Colleges of Education in the country to be included in the upcoming 2021 GES Recruitment or Posting as the Education Minister confirms his Minstry is seeking clearance from the Ministry of Finance.

The Minister for Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum in an interview on Monday with Kumasi-based radio station, OTEC FM as monitored by Frichynews.com confirmed that the Ministry of Education (MoE) is seeking clearance from the Ministry of Finance (MoF) to recruit trained teachers from the various private Colleges of Education in Ghana.

According to the Education Minister, the Akufu-Addo led NPP Government is committed to employing newly trained private Colleges of Education teachers into service. He further stated, his Ministry has petitioned the Ministry of Finance (MoF) to increase the number of newly trained Colleges of Education teachers cleared financially to be recruited into service.

Asked if the over 16,000 newly trained teachers to be recruited by the GES before the deadline, will include trainees from private Colleges of Education, Dr Yaw Adutwum said:

We have now received the figure of teachers to recruit this year and we have petitioned the Ministry of Finance to increase the numbers, we are working on that for them to be recruited in due course.
