Ashanti Region: All You Need To Know About NTC Licencing Card Issuance

The National Teaching Council (NTC) has released the movement plan and itinerary showing dates, centres and MMDs for the issuing of license to Professional Teachers in the Ashanti Region.

Teachers in the various Municipalities and districts to make themselves available at their respective centres at 8.00am prompt each day as scheduled.

Teachers to come along with their documents (more importantly licence number) to their respective centres and also observe all the COVID-19 safety protocols such as wearing of facemask and hand washing.

All teachers who have not yet received their licence numbers should go back to the portal and do the following;

1. Ensure that all their details have been entered correctly and accurately on the portal HERE.

2. Ensure that they click “save” after they have entered their details before clicking on “Next” until they get to the final stage of registration on the portal.

3. Ensure they have uploaded all required documents appropriately that is; First appointment letter, First professional certificate, Gazette if name on certificate differs from what they keyed on the portal and any other relevant document required to be uploaded.

4. Ensure that name and other personal details are spelt correctly and accurately.

All professional teachers who are yet to register on the portal to do so before the commencement date whiles ensuring compliance with the above.

Please also take note that If teachers had their professional qualification certificate before 2018, they can register and upload the certificate together with other requisite documents on the portal.

If they had their certificates after September 1, 2018, they would have to write and pass the licensure exams, and quote their GTLE index number on the portal.

The commencement date for licencing in Ashanti region has been tentatively fixed for August 30, 2021.
