Nurses and Midwifery Council Extends Deadline For Renewal of PIN/AIN

The management of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Ghana (NMCG) wish to inform Nurses, Midwives and the general public that the deadline for the renewal of PIN/AIN for Nurses, Nurse Assistants, and Midwives have been extended.

According to the council, this extension is as a result of the deadly pandemic that has disrupted business and operations. The NMC has therefore scheduled the deadline for the renewal of PIN/AIN to Wednesday, March 31, 2021.

As per the statement released by the Nurses and Midwifery Council, :

  • All practitioners must renew their license annually by 31st January each year.
  • The validity of the PIN/AIN Cards has been extended from three to five years.
  • All PIN/AIN cards with the 3-year validity will cease to be valid after March 31, 2021.
  • Also, there will no further extension for the new deadline and therefore nurses and midwives are advised to renew their licenses before March 31, 2021.
