Farmer’s Day: Gov’t declares Friday public holiday

The government has declared Friday, December 4, 2020 a statutory Public Holiday to mark this year’s Farmer’s Day celebration.

This was announced in a statement signed by the Minister for the Interior, Hon. Ambrose Dery on Friday, November 27, 2020.


“The general public is hereby reminded that Friday, 4th December, 2020 which marks Farmer’s Day is a statutory public holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country.”

Since the country will be going to the polls this year, the celebration was held in November, however, the day, which is a Statutory Public Holiday, will be observed.
