Senior High Schools WAEC to Withhold Their 2020 WASSCE Results– [Check List]

Information gathered by FrichyNews has it that, the Ghana Education Service has notified that the Senior High Schools (SHSs) where school properties were destroyed will have their WASSCE results withheld until full payment of the cost of damage.

The decision taken by GES stems from the fact that the final year students of some schools who sat for the just-ended, thus 2020 WASSCE and protest against school authorities and external invigilators also vandalized school properties, hence must duly bear the cost.

An earlier statement from the Ghana Education Service (GES) said “final year students sitting for the ongoing examination will have their results released after full payment of the damaged property”

In that regard, it is estimated that about (365) three hundred and sixty-five 2020 WASSCE graduates of the Damongo-based Ndewura Jakpa Senior High Technical School will pay at least GH¢1000 to cover riots damages.

Automatically graduates from Senior High Schools (SHSs) including the Kumawu-based Tweneboa Kodua, Ndewura Jakpa Senior High Technical School among others will have their WASSCE results withheld.

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) is expected to by the end of this month or the first week of November 2020 release results of candidates who sat for the 2020 West African Senior School Certificate Examination, GeorgeWeb indicated.
