UCC Reveals Reopening Date For FIRST SEMESTER Of 2020/2021 Academic Year- [Check New Date]

The management of University of Cape Coast (UCC) following the Covid-19 measures in a speech by the president of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo, concerning the reopen date for all tertiary institutions in January, 2021 has disclosed a reopen date for first semester of 2020/2021 academic year.

The Administration in a statement released on October 26, 2020 sighted by FrichyNews wished to inform freshers, continuing students, staff, the University Community and all stakeholders that:

  1. The First Semester of the 2020/2021 Academic Year will start from 9th January, 2021 instead of the originally scheduled reopening date of 14th November, 2020.
  2. This arrangement applies to both fresh and continuing students.
  3. The detailed Academic Calendar for the 2020/2021 Academic Year will be announced in due course.

This comes after the President of the Republic of Ghana in a broadcast on Sunday, October 18 announced that, all tertiary institutions are to reopen in January 2021.
