The relationship between two of the giants in the Ghanaian Music Industry, Sarkodie and Shatta Wale took a different dimension. This time not negatively but positvely after Shatta Wale called and explained to his friend Sarkodie the trending news in Ghana about the FAKE UN AWARDS presented to him (Sarkodie) and over 21 celebrities, politicians, cooperate officials and traditional leaders.

On his (Sarkodie) official Twitter account @sarkodie, the Ghanaian multi award winning rapper wrote, “Shatta Wale on the phone explaining what actually happened with Mr UN. Ebe now I understand but we move”.

This FAKE UN AWARD presentation was done by Global Public Excellence which is headed by one self-appointed UN Ambassador, Dr. Kwame Owusu Fordjour.

Ghanaians including Shatta Wale have since reacted to this scam and most were surprised as to why such prominent Ghanaian celebrities, politicians, media men and women, traditional leaders and others could be victims of such a big and disgraceful scam.

Sarkodie has then taken advantage of the talks he had with his friend Shatta Wale and has since deleted all the pictures of the Fake Award Ceremony from all his social media pages.

This Fake Award Ceremony titled the Global Blueprint Excellence Award was then held last week Friday, August 28, 2020 at the Alisa Hotel in Accra. This was attended and graced by a host of Ghanaian Personalities and Celebrities.

Some of these celebrities who fell for this big scam notably include; tv personalities like Berla Mumdi, Natalie Forte, Johnnie Hughes; a legendary gospel music group like daughters of glorious Jesus; S.K Boafo and the likes.
