President and Founder for Save The Nation For Future Leaders Kwadwo Atta Apeakorang has urged all the political parties to allow the ruling party ledby H.E. Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo Addo to rule Ghana for another year .
Unity among all political parties will help fight against COVID-19 and Galamsey, if they genuinely seek the wellbeing of Ghanaians.
He said the life of the Ghanaian supersedes political power and there is, therefore, the urgency for all parties to put aside their political struggle for 2020. He said Ghanaians should amend the constitution to make provisions for H.E. Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo and the current Parliament extend their mandate to 2021.
Mr Apeakorang said all political heads should be on one platform and declare to Ghanaians and the world that Ghana has one goal and we wholly committed to it.
He stated that even opposing policies is characteristic of partisan politics, it is about time opposition parties supported government to fight COVID-19 and galamsey.
Justifying his reason for his stance, Mr Apeakorang stated that “since March 2020, the divisiveness has been particularly deadly as both government and the opposition party National Democratic Congress have only resorted to a back-and-forth, retrogressing, unfruitful discussions and approaches aimed at stemming the spread of the virus.”
He added that “Even though such unpatriotic tendencies are characteristic of partisan politics, we reckon that such should not be the way during a pandemic.”
According to Apeakorang, the greatest backbone of the nation’s economy is agriculture but small-scale mining has destroyed our natural resources and shifted the focus of the youth from agriculture to other unsustainable money-making ventures.
He added that 2021 should focus on afforestation by planting rosewood, bamboo, prekese and hwenteaa to stabilise our soil for mass production. He said such a move would also boost our pharmaceutical businesses while providing sustainable jobs for all classes of citizens.
He appealed to government to make the necessary laws to regulate all plant species to ensure they do not go into extinction. “I think this is the time to register all mining companies for a national farming project.” Mr Apeakorang added that if these companies are given loan facilities for invest in commercial farming, Ghana would see improvements in all sectors.
“Government’s flagship projects such as 1D1F and Planting For Food and Jobs should be embraced by all parties to make life a lot easier.”
Save The Nation For Future Leaders appealed to the Ministry of Food and Agriculture, Ministry of Land and Natural Resources and Ministry of Environment , Science and Innovation to support the fight against illegal mining and any other form of mining that is detrimental to wellbeing of the Ghanaian.
Speaking on the issue of Galamsey, Mr Apeakorang appealed to Membersof Parliament for Assin Central Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong and Editor-in-Chief for New Crusading Guide, Malik Abdul Kwaku-Baako to smoke the peace pipe and continue the fight against galamsey. “Ghana needs you to fight against galamsey,” he told Hon. Ken and Kwaku-Baako.
Kwadwo Atta Apeakorang praises Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu Ababio Nyamekese II for the punishment meted out to Paramount Chief of Bantama, Nana Baffour Awuah Amankwatia VI for diverting the course of the Subin river.
Nana Baffour Awuah Amankwatia VI sold lands around the Subin river, built shops for his personal gain and diverted the course of the river.
According to Apeakorang, Asantehene has shown good and superb leadership which all Ghanaians could learn from. “Save The Nation For Future Leaders supports Asantehene for maintaining law and order in Kumasi and Ghana at large,” Mr. Apeakorang said.
There was a video circulating on social media show Nana Baffour Awuah Amankwatia VI and other subchiefs kneeling before the Asantehene to plead on behalf of Nana Baffour Awuah Amankwatia VI. A meeting of the chiefs concluded that Nana Baffour Awuah Amankwatia VI acted in bad faith and that the appropriate punishment was destoolment of the said chief.
Apeakorang added that “we, Save the Nation For Future Leaders, are committed to a cleaner, greener and habitable Ghanaian ecosystem and that we will throw our weight behind every Ghanaian who uses their power in this regard.”
“Bantamahene should have known better,” Kwadwo Apeakorang added “that diverting river courses is a recipe for flooding and associated calamities.”
Kwadwo Atta Apeakorang stated that the Asantehene should be given the opportunity to rule Ghana and put a stop to illegal mining and other activities perpetrated by leadership and individuals.
He added that galamsey has been a major burden government has been fighting but seems to be losing and that Asantehene has shown the way. Mr. Apeakorang said Otumfour Osei Tutu II should be given the power to deal with traditional rulers who indulge in activities for personal gains.
He described Otumfuo as the saviour for Africa because his stool, commanded from the skies, is a symbol of divine authority. “I am proud to be a Ghanaian to have a king who stands for justice and makes sure our culture is protected no matter the consequences.”
He therefore called on all Ghanaians to give Otumfuo the authority fight galamsey in the country.
Save The Nation For Future Leaders pleads with the Member of Parliament for Assin Central Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong and Editor-in-Chief for New Crusading Guide, Malik Kweku-Baako to smoke peace pipe and obey the court ruling, we know he is not satisfied with the court ruling but he should accept it in good faith and reprise what H.E. Nana Addo Dankwah said regarding the Supreme Court ruling in 2012 election, “I don’t side with the ruling of the Supreme Court but because of the love I have for Ghana I accept the ruling”.
Save The Nation For Future Leaders supports his good works and sacrifices for our Motherland Ghana and we will forever be grateful for his kindness, truth and honesty.
Ladies and Gentlemen in media, we all bear witness that, the greatest backbone of the nation’s economy is agriculture but the small scale mining (Galamsey) has destroyed our natural resources and shifted the focus of the youth from agriculture to the unstainable money-making ventures.
Save the Nation For Future Leaders urged Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, Malik Kweku Baako, Kwesi Pratt Jnr, Kwame Sefa Kayi, Koku Anyindoho and Prof. Ohene Agyekum to come together and campaign against illegal mining (galamsey) for our land to regain its fertility and our water bodies to return to normal status.
The above names will be the “New Big Six”, if they accord with each other and fight against illegal mining
